Padma Shri awardee and Born on 11 th Jan, 1954 in Kerala to parents Shivashankara Pillai and Lalitha Devi, Balachandra Menon is the actor, film director and scriptwriter. He studied from Edava Muslim High School and Fatima Mata National College later he became a lawyer after completing his Law degree in 2012. He married Varada Menon and has a child. He won the Filmfare award for Samaantharangal in 1998 and holds the Limca Book of Record regarding the maximum number of film directed and acted. He acted in more than 100 films and directed over 40 and also worked with many freshers.
